I photographed a father-son beekeeper team and a University of Georgia entomologist for a story in Atlanta Magazine on bees and the colony collapse disorder.

I shot these bees on white plexi outside the bee yard. Cody, the younger beekeeper, shook a frame of bees onto the plex that was drizzled with honey. This made the bees mad. One of them stung me.

They were really cool. After the shoot, we had a beer with Mike, the elder beekeeper.

Here's the UGA entomologist; check out my bee promo for the alternate shot.

Just stumbled across this and wanted to tell you how amazing your photos were for my story on bees. I'm glad you only got stung once. I ended up with seven by the time the story was wrapped up, but it was worth it. These are some really great folks and their work is so interesting. Thanks so much for the incredible work on this.
