Two Days of Bees

buzz1.jpg

I have an exciting assignment from Atlanta Magazine shooting a story on honeybees that will run in the August issue. Today we went to UGA to photograph an entomologist.

After shooting, we were fortunate enough to have time for lunch at The Grit. If I only missed one thing about my college days spent in Athens, GA, it would be a meal here.

Lauren is my sister-in-law interning with me. Morgan assisted today.

Shortly after this, I received my steamed broccoli, collard greens and mashed potatoes with gravy. Vegetarian food has never been so yummy.

Morgan worked with me yesterday, too. He's reading the ambient for our first shot. A few minutes later, the sun topped those trees and gave us a killer back light.

Our beekeeper gave us each a bottle of his amazing tupelo honey.

Contrasting with today's vegetarian lunch, yesterday we ate at Fat Matt's Rib Shack.

A PBR tall boy is the perfect pairing for a slab of ribs.
