If you live in Atlanta, be on the lookout for these billboards! These are the ads I shot the players for back on September 5.
Again, if you live in Atlanta, you may have seen the Thrashers ads on buses and billboards. Those are pictures I shot two years ago, the first time I shot the team. I was sick as a dog that day, too. I woke up at 2 a.m. that morning with a stomach flu. At one point, I had to give the camera to my assistant while I ran outside and threw up. Yeccch. So, back to my point.... be patient and, hopefully, that stuff will be replaced by the new pictures I shot a few weeks back.
Can't wait for opening night tomorrow night against the Capitals!

Finn is six weeks old today. To celebrate, we took him to his first NHL game! Sadly, the Thrashers fell to the Capitals by two. Little Finn didn't let anything get in the way of his routine. He slept during the walk into the arena, he ate when we got to our seats, then he slept again through the rest of the game. On our way out, I saw some of my pictures. The Thrashers stuff uses pictures from two years ago, as do the billboards below.

This past weekend, we traveled to the North Georgia Mountains to a place called the Dillard House. I haven't been there since I was 7 years old. The restaurant is really great.

Iliana had a few days off from school and stayed with Melody's parents in Anderson, SC. We met them, more family and friends at the Dillard House for dinner and to transfer Iliana. It's about a two hour drive from Atlanta, so we decided to stay the night.

Iliana is getting pretty good with the point and shoot.

Little Finn got loads of attention from family and strangers alike. He's really plumping up!

I led Iliana around on a horsey ride. The horsey wasn't too keen on it.
I shot some of the Thrashers players for Atlanta Magazine yesterday. It was a very successful shoot. I can hardly wait to put some of those pictures in my book! Tough part is going to be waiting until the end of the year so I can do that. The photo essay will be published in the January issue, when Atlanta hosts the NHL All-Star game.
I spent today with Kaylinn, who assisted me with some testing for the Hawks shoot this Friday and Saturday.

The Hawks are 3-0 so far in the pre-season. The guys were in great spirits yesterday for the first day of their photoshoot. I have two sets to put them on: one is hot white, the other is black. I really love what I'm getting on the black set. I go back for day 2 this morning.

Melody is entering our home in a contest, so this afternoon, we made pictures of our home. It's not yet where we want it to be, but if we win this contest, maybe we'll have a little help getting there! Above is our bedroom.

I'm back up in New York working on the final two shoots for the designer/architect pairings. This project began last October and is wrapping up tomorrow in Phoenix. By the project's end, we will have shot seven pairs in five cities. The above view is looking out our hotel window, as is the one below.

Here's my assistant Dan standing in, or sitting in.

Here he is standing.

Melody sent me this picture today. She bought him a new hat for winter! I can't wait to get back from Phoenix and see them again.

Little Finn is smiling and laughing these days. I had the little digital point and shoot handy to catch this on his changing table.

Michael Kiser received one of my taxidermy posters and asked to feature the project on his art blog. It's a nice write up. Follow the link to Sedaqa.

This November's issue of Popular Photography has me featured in their 'How I Shot This.' I had shot the beekeepers shortly before the interview, so an image from that project is the topic of discussion. I found a link for the magazine online: click here and go to page 22-23.

For the first time in three weeks, I had a weekend with my family. Today, we made up for that lost time. Above is Finn on the changing table. Besides being on Melody's breast, this is his favorite place to be.

My parents come down once a week to take care of Finn and Iliana, giving Melody and me a much needed night out. The downside is, I only see my parents coming and going. Last night, we followed them up to Roswell to stay the night with them.

I started today by taking Iliana to a birthday party. It was at Atlanta Rocks. Iliana had been looking forward to this one. She shot up that wall fearlessly.

I was having a hard time picking only one of these, so I decided to post three. Again, on the changing table....

Our next event for the day was the Grant Park Halloween Parade. Iliana lost her Wonder Woman headband, but Melody made one for her that did the trick.

I asked Wonder Woman about her secret identity. She never did tell.

The parade of costumed children went right by the playground. Many, including Iliana, lost interest in the parade at that point.

Here's Melody standing around in the playground looking beautiful.

We carved our Jack-O-Lantern tonight. I gutted the pumpkin. Iliana made preliminary sketches on newsprint then drew the face on the pumpkin for Melody to carve. He has a rather jolly disposition.
