Alabama Treasures

marion_finds.jpg

So I spent two nights in Marion, Alabama, which is about an hour south of Birmingham. A client of mine is working on some new admissions materials for a small college there. It was really interesting to visit a small town (pop. around 4500) that is still getting by on its own. We stocked up on drinks and snacks for the day at a little grocer/butcher shop called the Marion Meat Market. On the grocery shelves, we found some real treasures.

My assistant, Dan, and I exposed 20 sheets of 4X5 through the Speed Graphic. I'm picking up the film in the morning. I'll post them as soon as I can.

I'm also heading out tomorrow to shoot the beekeepers!
